ELSIE KNEAS

Hi, I’m Elsie!! I’m beyond excited and honored to serve as TCU Kappa Alpha Theta’s Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion this year! I am currently a sophomore from Charlotte, North Carolina, majoring in Psychology and Child Development. I hope to go on to get a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology so that I can become a Child Psychologist. I am also a member of the Order of Omega Alpha Delta Chapter at TCU. I love staying involved and meeting new people around TCU’s campus. You can find me playing pickleball at the TCU Tennis courts, walking around Greek Village with friends, or indulging in an Ampersand peach tea and avocado caprese toast. Kappa Alpha Theta has helped me develop confidence in myself and the woman I am capable of being. As I’m surrounded by incredible women who uplift me in every way possible, I find myself searching for more ways to get involved and spread positivity throughout our chapter and TCU’s campus. To be a Theta is to be loved for exactly who you are, to have a friend around every corner, and to be encouraged in every aspect of your college and lifelong journey.

Just two short years ago, before the recruitment process even began, I was stuck on joining a specific chapter. I came into the recruitment process with my decision already made, but as I started visiting houses, Kappa Alpha Theta made me question that decision. Walking into the Theta house felt like a breath of fresh air. The women speaking to me in the chapter room made me want to embrace new opportunities. Even as a PNM, I already felt so supported and seen by the women in front of me. As I now sit on the executive board, live with my two other Theta roommates, and feel the love within our special chapter, I know that Thetas are my TCU family, and I would choose it a million times over. Kappa Alpha Theta is an organization of women who will drop everything to hold your hand through a hard time, support you in all of your endeavors, and inspire you to be the best version of yourself.

TLAM,

Elsie Kneas
